SMU Homecoming 2025: Honoring the Legacy, Illuminating the Future
SMU Homecoming has grown into a highly anticipated cultural tradition that goes far beyond beauty — it is a week-long movement that blends Beauty Education, Business Development, Wellness, and Community Empowerment.
As the first cosmetology university in the nation to host a Homecoming celebration, we take great pride in creating experiences that not only showcase the talents and spirit of our students and alumni, but also uplift our community and support the next generation of leaders through scholarships and career readiness programs.
This year marks our 5th Annual Homecoming Week, taking place October 21–26, 2025, at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta, GA. The celebration will include:

Secure The Bag: Business & Banking Day – financial empowerment with Chase Bank, Center Parc Credit Union and partners.

Illuminating the Future Gala: Beauty & Wellness Day – industry panel, wellness gala, and donor recognition

I Got Next! Rally – a block party-style youth empowerment event blending entertainment and education "Young Professionals & Entrepreneurs".

Queen of Beauty Hair Pageant: Hair & Beauty Competition – our grand finale, crowning student competitors in an electrifying showcase of talent.
To date, the Style Mobb Diamonds Foundation (501c3) has awarded over $500,000 in scholarships, fueling workforce development and entrepreneurship in the beauty and wellness industries.
SMU's Homecoming History:
From our inaugural Homecoming in 2021 with over 100 community supporters to now welcoming 1,000+ attendees annually, SMU Homecoming has become more than a celebration — it’s a legacy in the making.
Each year, we’ve built on our foundation of beauty education and community pride, adding new opportunities for growth, inspiration, and impact. In 2025, we are proud to take this tradition even further by collaborating with Touched Apparel’s Too Dope To Bully Campaign, amplifying anti-bullying awareness across industries during National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month.

Think beauty school hair battle meets halftime show — where our talented SMU students compete head-to-head in themed hair artistry challenges, live performances bring the crowd to life, and industry experts lead inspiring conversations around Beauty, Wellness, Mental Health, and Wealth.
But The Glam Games are more than a competition — it’s a celebration of legacy, leadership, and community. We’re also honoring distinguished leaders and changemakers who empower youth, elevate education, and inspire the next generation of professionals.

This unforgettable evening will bring together scholarship donors, community leaders, alumni, and partners to celebrate the lives changed through education and to continue building opportunities for the future.
To date, the Foundation has awarded over $500,000 in scholarships to students pursuing trade school education in cosmetology, health-care, business, wellness, and related industries. Every dollar raised at the Gala directly supports these scholarships, helping students step boldly into careers that uplift themselves, their families, and their communities.
